Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to delete data received from Facebook Pages, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp accounts connected to MorsApp. What we process and why is described in our Privacy Policy.
Businesses that connected an account to MorsApp
1. Disconnect in the dashboard. MorsApp dashboard → Customer Communications → Channels & AI settings → on the relevant channel choose "Remove Facebook connection", "Remove Instagram connection", or "Disconnect" for WhatsApp. This immediately deletes the stored Meta access tokens and stops any new data from Meta.
2. You can also remove the app in Meta.
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites) → MorsApp → Remove.
- Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites → Active → MorsApp → Remove.
3. Request deletion of the remaining data. To delete message history and other records linked to the account, email info@morsapp.io from the email address registered on your account, with the subject "Data deletion request", and include your store address or the name of the connected Page / Instagram account.
People who messaged a business on Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp
If you messaged a business that uses MorsApp, that business is the controller of those messages, and you can send your deletion request to it directly. You may also email info@morsapp.io and include:
- the name of the business's Facebook Page or Instagram account you messaged,
- the name or username shown in the conversation (your phone number for WhatsApp),
- the approximate date of the messages.
We review the request together with the business and delete the data.
What is deleted and how long it takes
- Deleted: Meta access tokens, Page / Instagram connection details, and Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp messages, including the names, profile pictures and IDs they contain.
- Post and comment data is never stored; once disconnected it no longer appears in the dashboard.
- Requests are completed within 30 days at the latest, and we confirm by email when done. We may need to verify that the request is yours.
- Records we must keep by law, such as invoices, are retained only for the legally required period and are not used for any other purpose.
